I Know, I Know!!!!

I know it is Tuesday and my deadline for posting this week. I am sorry to say I am not at home and can not post pics here at this time. G is in Germany and Mikayla and I are visiting the inlaws but will be back home soon and so will G. Please Please check back next week as I will be sure to have plenty of eye candy for you with Mikayla meeting family and getting back together with one of her China buds for the day. You wont want to miss a single pic. Got to run it is hard to keep a sleeping brown eyed butterfly asleep in a hotel room when I have to have lights to see and I keep making noise, click click click on the keys. Yeah right she passed out 5 min after leaving Aunt Deb and Uncle Steve's and did not wake until we got to the room, I whipped off her clothes, on her PJ's and put her in her bed and she was out like a light in another 5 min and I dont think anything can wake her now. I just need to get to sleep so when she rises early in the morning I will have had some sleep myself. Love you guys, AJ

BIG Girls Don't Cry, I'm a big girl, I'm a big girl, I'm a big girl

OK, I tried to get out some this week. We did not do too much but we did venture to the Station Casino just for some walking and to see if anything new was going on there (no nothing was new). We also took Mikayla to the Bass Pro Shop in St Charles which of course was nothing like the one at The Mills but there were some animals and fish for her to enjoy. We also had our very first haircut and I got a pic of one of her vaccinations, both went over without a single tear... that is correct no tears and no hassles. Two days after her shot she did run a bit of a fever and her leg was sore so much she walked like she had a dead leg but other than being clingy the day of the fever she was a trooper. Next week maybe a special one, even with Daddy going off to Germany. Mommy and Mikayla, might, and that is a might, venture to visit some friends that were made on our China trip and also visit some family that she has never met as of yet. Another Slow One

I really need to get out more. This weather needs to warm up, too. Well, we are supposed to be going to KC next week but that maybe cancelled. If we do go I hope to at least get some swim time in the hotel pool with Mikayla. This coming Friday Mikayla will be going in for a shot or two so I hope to maybe get a pic there we will see. I will let you guys know that all that guessed/played my trivia game so far have been correct, thanks for playing. Those who asked about the video I am sorry to say we had technical difficulties that have prevented me from posting it, maybe next time. Catch you later/next week. Like the heading says, it has been a slow week. I think the cold is taking its toll. I remember every winter why I moved to Florida... I hate the cold. It starts out okay and the snow is even okay but it just seems like the cold days last forever and the warm days are few and fly by. G talks about moving to Colorado every now and then, but I am thinking more and more that is not a good thing... shoot cold days to me are like rainy days and Mondays. Now, Hawaii or Florida that is another thing but there is also the reason I left Florida and the same reason would hold true for Hawaii also if not more so there. One of the reasons was the Hurricanes there and being so close to the water all around you. Enough about me that is not what this blog is about is it? I have posted some pics for you and even posted a trivia question for you with one of the pics... Lets see if anyone can post a comment with the answer to the question and see how well you guys know the family and actually read the posts or just look at the pics. Any questions for hints or otherwise are welcome but I can not guarantee you will like my answers :) Have fun and catch you next week.

Ah! Peace and Quiet at Last!

I know just as much as I could not wait to post again I also know AnnaBelle's mommy is probably hoping I post as soon as possible so she can see the pics. Mikayla and AnnaBelle had their first all day play date while AnnaBelle's mommy and daddy worked. They did great they colored, created and pasted and made a mess having fun every minute. AnnaBelle even took a nap like a trooper although with AnnaBelle visiting Mikayla did not nap at all but that was okay as it made bed time so easy. The boys loved trying to torment a newbie but AnnaBelle was not having it. I must say though by the time she left she had their names down pat and was telling them to get out, stop and of course telling them the famous no. Louie of course knew he better listen but as expected Jake gave her the "whatever" and kept being a pest to us all. With about 8 hours of play and only a half hour nap I think AnnaBelle was ready to go when Daddy arrived. Mikayla did not cry but seemed a bit sad at her departure but I am sure they will get together again soon, maybe not all day but for a time I am sure. The boys are sleeping well tonight too... Thank You, AnnaBelle. Well I will leave you with the pics of the day and get back to my bed that is calling my name. Enjoy!

Power Nap Time!

Playing Playing Playing

Christmas arrived and so did the snow right on time. Mikayla was playing in her room when the sound was heard, we heard a big HO HO HO and some bells jingling right outside. Lo and behold, when she came running to the living room she found tons of presents under the tree. At first she was not sure if she should ripe the paper or what to do. Then she did not know if she should play or find more. She was so over whelmed and tired but loved every gift. With the the gifts unwrapped but still under the tree she goes there as soon as she wakes and spends time with each and every gift, giving each one there due time. When Aunt Ellen came by we all got out in the snow but Mikayla was not too thrilled to have cold wet feet. I don't blame her as I know she did not like the grass when she came home either. Of course the boys had their gifts too and got decked out as much as they would allow. We all had fun and enjoyed our first Christmas together. In the end we all were tired and some of us took a brief power nap, not Mikayla, she was the Energizer Bunny as she kept going and going and going. She is napping as I type but she will have another big day ahead when Monday rolls around and she has an all day play date with AnnaBelle one of her buds as she visits for the day as her Mommy and Daddy are at work. It will be fun for all then to with sharing and napping for them and no napping for Mommy. When Ms Ellen asked Daddy on Christmas Day what the odds are for #2 and he stated "Very Likely", I figure I better get used to it now and whenever I can. Catch you all in the New Year. Hey I am not a ba-hum bug but its been crazy. We started out by going to the church Movie night to watch Polar Express and made sure Mikayla had her bell and was able to hear it ring. From there, Mikayla and I did surprise Daddy with our 1st real Christmas tree. It is called the Mikayla tree... just in case you can not see from the pic it does have the famous Mikayla butterflies on it, along with Crayola Crayon Candy Canes and Princess Candy Canes. It is just a small tree which occupies Mikayla's drawing desk. It was cute and perfect for a first tree for Mikayla and a first Live tree for all of us. The pups are doing well with it and don't really care that it exists. Jake occasionally needs reminding he does not have to help Mommy pic up the pine needles but that is the only notice of it from the boys. Mikayla loves looking at it and pointing things out when it is lit up other wise it is another piece of furniture to her too. Just wait until she hears Santa's sleigh bells ringing past her window and finds all the presents we were not going to have for her first Christmas. I guess Santa thought she should have them all. We did not do to much through the week other than shop for the tree and try to say warm. Monday, I did not get here since we were out on the Sleigh in Tillis Park. Mikayla loved it and could not make up her mind where to look at the lights but I think her favorite part was the clip-clup clip-clup of the horses as she now constantly says clip-clup every time you talk about horses. Tonight, we just goofed around seeing what we can do with markers and crayons, washables of course. Got to love the washables.
