Thank you everyone for the blessings and prayers. I did forget a few things in the last blog that I will start with here. First I forgot to tell you with all the mess of the past few weeks that while Grandma was visiting Mikayla also got to experience her very first emergency room visit. She was tortured for full head and body x-rays which were a great test of her lungs. Might I add her lungs are beyond well. I bet Grandma who waited at home probably heard her using them. At least mommy was not the bad one who had to hold her down and still for all of them, although she still loved and clung to daddy afterward. I also forgot to tell you even with all that went on Mikayla and Grandma did spend some quality time and really had a good time as you can see. Next, on Nov 22nd, our church held baby dedications and we dedicated to raise Mikayla in a Christian home. Last Saturday and this past Saturday we ventured down to Old St Charles where all the Christmas decorations are up and the horse and carriages are running along Main Street. This is also when all the Santa's from different periods are roaming the streets along with elves, the Sugar Plum Fairy, Jack Frost, the Snow Queen and many more are out there with Carolers and roasted chestnuts making it seem like Christmas. Each of the characters carry cards (like baseball cards) for all the kids and some grown ups too, to collect and try to complete the set. Of course, Mikayla got into the spirit and understood the concept very quickly and was sticking out her hand as soon as she saw the next character. In the two Saturdays we got all but 1 card, we believe it is the Snow Queen we are missing but the festivities are not over so we still have a small chance to complete her set. I did get a picture of her favorite the Sugar Plum Fairy talking to her. Come Saturday evening it was time for Los Posados which we were up close and in good view of Mary on the donkey and following them to the stable. I did try to capture a pic of it which was tricky with the crowd the stroller and Mikayla and all. I tried but either way Mikayla did see it all and was mesmerized. Before the holiday we hope to get at least l Santa visit in and we will be going to Movie night at the church to watch the Polar Express for free if anyone cares to join us this Friday evening the 11th. With my birthday coming soon we will also have our first baby sitting venture to see how that goes. Maybe we will also get on a sleigh ride somewhere and see all the Christmas lights which should be fun for Mikayla also. Well, got to run Dad and Mikayla are getting a bit hungry. Merry Happy Christmas to All.

  1. Some of Mikayla's facial expressions in these picture remind me of Kailahni! Maybe it's a Chongqing thing?! I just love seeing how well Mikayla is doing. She so precious. Her hair is beautiful!

Someday we will have to get our girls together again!

    Big hugs!
