Weeks Flying By!

The weeks are flying by. It just seems like Christmas is right around the corner already. Well this week was really very uneventful I guess with all we do that we need some of the down time but I did give you a pic or to to see how she is doing. I mean heck, I know its not all the rain that is keeping us down... or is it??? It has been so rainy here the last couple of weeks and now flooding is going on everywhere once again. We are lucky of course (knock on wood) we seem to be on high enough ground and our basement has not said the ground is too saturated yet for it, thank goodness. Yesterday we did do our doctor visit which was just normal stuff and getting the info on the poop test we will have to send back. Last night was the first testing done... oh what fun it was!!! We did drop off the test at the doc today so we should find out soon how that comes back. She is up to 20 lbs now and growing and learning so fast. With her cloth diapers and growing belly now at least she can keep her pants up. Tomorrow we will be doing our first post placement visit and we do not have a single decent pic of the 3 of us. I hope to get one today if I can catch one of our neighbors if not we will just make the SW take the pic when she is here and make her wait as I print it. I will let you know how it goes. Of course this weekend is the day G leaves for Hawaii and I have the fun of Halloween but I am not sure how that will go... I say this cause when Mikayla tried on her costume she was not real happy wearing it and I am not sure why exactly. So we will see how it goes as I do not want to torment her and make her cry the entire time she is in costume just so everyone can see it. I hope it goes well and we can at least get one pic with her dressed up. Only time will tell. We will also have another surprise coming in the next couple of weeks that I will just have to make you wait to find out about. Happy Halloween and Happy Blogging!!! Don't Eat Too Much Candy. Another Week Gone By

I am sorry to say nothing exciting happened this week. We did venture to Marthasville for the German Festival but that was not much to speak of. Mikayla has been getting in her 10th and 11th teeth... both bottom molers so she has not been too happy a camper but doing well. Saturday we will probably venture to the zoo if the weather is nice for the Halloween Festivities there. Other then that is a Doctor appointment on Monday, our 1st Post Placement visit Wednesday and then Halloween. All is well here otherwise and we hope to have more news and pics for you soon. Hope to see my buds Dale and Dianna Saturday. By the way Dianna call me or post your phone number in comments or email it to me if you would I would love to get together more but I can not find your number. Post more soon. Love you guys... AJ

Its That Time of Year Once Again!

We started out our fun with Mikayla going to her first Doctors appointment. She was not an Unhappy Camper until the next 2-3 days. She screamed while daddy held her down for 2 shots for about 2 seconds and she was done with crying. We even went to get her a SS# and did some shopping right after and she was fine. Now, the next couple of days was when she hated life and let everyone know it. She ran a fever, threw up and was cranky the entire time. When she was not cranky she was sleeping with her guard on duty as you can see. Sunday came and she still was a bit sleepy and cranky but not really any fever to worry about so we went to the Fall Festival which was all sorts of fun... check it out... Mikayla did a lot of walking in her squeaky shoes and with all the dogs that were there she did find quite a few followers I shot a pic of a few. There were face painters, tattoo artists, several music artists playing different music in different areas, the fire trucks with the new fire house, stilts to walk with, balloon creators, a puppet show, pony rides, food by the truck load and tons of fun. I will be guessing our next adventure will be Halloween unless I am forgetting something... like maybe visiting Thomas (the train) coming to town or something like that. :) Stay tuned and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

The Play Date Plus

Well as you know, this weekend was the Parents as Teachers Play Date in St Charles. We got there pretty early and stayed quite a while as Mikayla is a girl of many hats. As we entered she right away received her Fireman hat which she seemed to like... I am sure it had nothing to do with the firemen that were giving it to her. She wore it all around to all the different booths. When I was making a Christmas purchase for her I found G and Mikayla got their picture taken by the photographer there. I am guessing he was from Parents As Teachers since it was not the news and we watched it and she was not on TV. Anyway, she worn the Fireman hat until we got to the construction booth where she acquired the Hard hat She did not want to keep that one on for long at all, only long enough for me to get the pic I am sure it had nothing to do with the fact a woman gave it to her. :) Other than her fun at the Play Date we did get her chipped, this is where they fingerprint them and take pics and DNA. Then we just stayed home and cruised around the yard and did some drawing. Now the other pics have nothing to do with activities they are just a really typical day/night here at the house... I am serious these were not planned or posed for they just happened to be a typical day/night and I could not pass up sharing what a close family the 5 of us really are. Well have to run, nap time probably won't last much longer.
